Rebuilding with Purpose at Adrian United Methodist Church by Chris Ball

Big things are happening at Adrian United Methodist Church! After the devastating fire in 2024, the congregation has shown incredible resilience and faith as they begin the journey of rebuilding. We’re honored to walk alongside them in this next chapter.

Matt has been hard at work designing the new addition and Youth Building, and the vision is truly inspiring. These spaces will not only restore what was lost—they’ll create new opportunities for connection, growth, and ministry. Check out the stunning renderings he created, which bring this vision to life!

Being part of this process is more than just a project—it’s a privilege. We’re grateful to contribute to a space that will serve generations to come and continue to be a cornerstone of the Adrian community.

Stay tuned for more updates as the rebuild progresses. The future is bright at Adrian United Methodist!

Our First Blog by Chris Ball

Welcome to Ball Architects

Forty years ago, Jack D. Ball founded a small, design-oriented firm with a bold mission: to positively influence the built environment of our region. That mission still guides us today.

At Ball Architects, we believe architecture is more than buildings—it’s about people, purpose, and place. Over 70% of our work comes from repeat clients, a testament to the trust we’ve built and the relationships we continue to nurture. We’re proud of that number, because it reflects our commitment to personalized service and collaborative design.

💡 Why We’re Starting This Blog

This space will be more than just project updates—it’s a window into our process, our people, and our passion. Here’s what you can expect:

•            Project Spotlights: Behind-the-scenes looks at our civic and community-focused work, from concept to completion.

•            Design Insights: Thoughts on architecture as a service, and how we approach each project with fresh eyes and open ears.

•            Team Perspectives: Meet the energetic, forward-thinking individuals who make up our intentionally small and highly involved team.

•            Client Stories: Celebrating the partnerships that shape our work and the communities we serve.

•            Industry Reflections: Commentary on trends, challenges, and opportunities in civic architecture and beyond.

🤝 Our Philosophy

We design with collaboration at the core. Every project, no matter the size, requires open communication and a shared vision. That’s why we consider everyone with a vested interest part of the design team: architects, engineers, owners, and end-users alike.

We’re excited to use this blog as a platform to share, reflect, and connect. Whether you’re a longtime client, a fellow designer, or simply curious about the built world around you, we invite you to join the conversation.

Let’s build something meaningful together
